If you ask me, it would very hard to live up to Chris Tomlin previous albums, but "Hello Love" in many respects does. But this time he isn’t singing “Holy is the Lord” and “How Great is Our God”, which are songs about God’s creation and just praising him. This time he delves a little deeper with stand outs like “Jesus, Messiah” and “I Will Rise”, which are more personal than usual for his style. “Sing, sing, sing” is a great upbeat tune, crossing over to a more modern worship style, while the hymn like “All the Way My Savior Leads Me” finishes up the album thoughtfully. Although this may not be what most Tomlin fans were expecting, some songs stay true to his earlier work, like “Praise the Father, Praise the Son” which is destined to become worship classic. So, now that he has come back with a somewhat new, but fresh sound, it is up to you if you prefer this more. As for me, well, I enjoy it all! ~ Christian Lingner
