Worship leader Aaron Shust's debut, "Anything Worth Saying", is a good CD from start to finish. Rarely do you find an album that keeps things fresh and interesting through it's whole playing time, but this one manages to do so. Of course, some songs are better than others, especially the uplifting "My Savior, My God" and "Matchless," which may not be new material, (I mean, how many times have you heard a song about the of names of Jesus) but certainly is another great example of his songwriting skills that would later earn him the Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year. His music will no doubt be labeled as praise and worship, but don't let that scare you off. For he has his own sound and feel and is a very enjoyable listen. A reacurring theme in similar discs is that the artist has to stay upbeat to capture their audience. But this has it's mellow moments also, "More Wonderful" and "Change the Way" where he carefully balances things out, but never get's too slow. So, although Aaron has room to improve, he has worked up a successful debut that will leave fans happy and wanting more. ~ Christian Lingner
