My Paper Heart - Francesca Battistelli

New York native Francesca Battastelli released her debut album "My Paper Heart" in July 2008, and since then it's been nothing but success.  Both smash hit singles, "I'm Letting Go" and "Free to Be Me" are great examples of her upbeat style and ample writing skills which fans will love and enjoy.  While she has a sound of her own, she branches into R&B on "Blue Sky," which could easily be sung by Stevie Wonder, or more of a worship tint on "Forever Love," that could be penned by Amy Grant. Francesca's vocals really stand-out on the fun, "Someday Soon" and a more mid-tempo "Time Inbetween," that tells of how Jesus came to earth and died, and how we should be thankful for the time inbetween.  And although not all the songs are as fruitful as those, she keeps each song interesting with clever songwriting and catchy melodies that will keep you singing long after the CD is done. So, overall this is a good album, and I look forward to hearing more from her in the future. ~ Christian Lingner
