Fearless Now - Sheri Carr

Worship leader Sheri Carr’s national debut “Fearless Now” is just plain praise and worship. It has it’s moments, especially on more upbeat songs like “Sing Your Praise” and “Alleluia”, but most fall short just because it’s all been said before. Nothing against praise and worship music, but with similar artists like Chris Tomlin doing the same thing, you have to be very innovative to make your sound new, and this really isn't. After hearing  that Sheri was the second artist signed to Vineyard Music and that Nathan Nockels was the producer, I expected a lot more from this album, but Chris Tomlin didn’t start out so great either if you remember. So with all that said, Sheri actually has potential here, but she really doesn’t shine on the first time around. ~ Christian Lingner
