In 2007, David Nassar and Mac Powell gathered several major christian artists for one week, to write, record and produce an album that takes raw scriptre and turns it into music. Good idea, and they pulled it off amazingly well, garnering the Dove Award for Special Event Album of the Year and critical success. So here we are in July 2009, almost 2 years later, with the second installment in the series, "Glory Revealed II - The Word of God in Worship." Now let me make something clear, there is a fine line between reading scripture and making good music. And while most of the tracks find themselves somewhere in the middle, serveral capture what Mac was setting out to accoplish. "What We Procliam" is a perfect example of this, taking the word of god and making a truly worship noise, along with steel guitar and banjo to back things up. Natalie Grant makes a great addition to the simple tited "Praise and Lord", while Mac is again is featured on the sure stand-out "Blessed Hope". What is most unique about this project is it's layed back setting, instead driving electric guitars we have mandolins and fiddles, and it produces a old time Sunday Morning feel. While this may not appeal to a lot of people, it should satisfy the buyer, and is an ejoyable listen to the country gospel and praise and worship fan. ~ Christian Lingner
