CMR Reader Award Winners

And now, to announced the first annual CMR Reader Award Winners!

Artists of the Year: This category was one of the most interesting to follow, especially after the first few days. David Crowder*Band had extensive early lead, which did push them to the eventual lead, but later on the votes began to spread out and gave every nominee several votes. David Crowder*Band: 31. Runner-up: Branon Heath/Jars of Clay: 9

Single of the Year: Another David Crowder*Band take over! "How He Loves", their latest chart entry started with a large percentage, and rarely went down from that peak. They over doubled the votes of any other tune. "How He Loves": 25. Runner-up: "By Your Side": 10

New Artist of the Year: This contest got the most attention by far, taking 103 votes in all, but what was most interesting was the winner. After having a minimal lead during the main part of the first day, favorites Sidwalk Prophets were already looking downhill will a 6-5 comeback from Danyew. The later aquired 88 votes by the closing. Runner-up: Sidwalk Prophets: 10

Album of the Year: While the "New Artist" category took a lot of hype, this one did not. Having the least amount of votes, and closest race, this was the most fun to follow for me, and brought some excitment into the awards. "Heaven and Earth" won with 23 votes, to the nearest nominee "Until the Whole World Hears."

Thanks for the voting!
