Starting off with the familiar Matthew West tune "The Motions," drive and passion come to mind when listening to this awe inspiring song, and it sets the bar high for the rest of the album. Next up is the power house anthem "There Will Be a Day" from Jeremy Camp, and to say this will be a classic sounds like an understatement. Moving on down the line, we see the appearances of major artists like Newsboys, Brandon Heath and Chris Tomlin, but then they throw in some of the less known, but just as talented musicians like Josh Wilson and Sidewalk Prophets.
One of the great things about listening to this record is the constant variety and change of pace that keeps you on your toes, and hearing your favorite radio hits whenever you want. The second disc does even further with that factor, with songs from the R&B/Rap infused Group 1 Crew, to the Pop/Punk of Hawk Nelson's hit, "The Meaning of Life." For the fans looking for deep or mature material, Tenth Avenue North's chart busting "By Your Side" takes the mid-tempo break you will be hoping for, after jamming through an hour of non-stop fast paced music.
So their is something here for everyone, while you are singing along to Michael W. Smith, a couple minutes later you kids might be word-for-wording their favorite David Crowder*Band track that haven't even heard of, but that's okay. It is a clean, and timeless album that will leave you in anticipation for next years edition, and happy until then! ~ Christian Lingner
