Sarah Reeves - Sweet Sweet Sound EP

As the title track explains, for 19-year-old Sarah Reeves, worship is everything.  With a similar style to Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman, this newcomer's debut is almost strictly praise, and she pulls is off suprisingly well.  With the first song "Fresh Anointing," she starts things off fast-paced and exciting, and while the follow up "Awaken," is somewhat lyrically generic, her youthful yet heartfelt vocals shine on these upbeat tunes.  "Come Save" resembles Aaron Shust's "Create Again," but actually passes it up with top-notch production and songwriting that will keep listeners on their toes, and will certainly gain radio activity. To finish things up we have "Let Us Arise," which is another power anthem made for success, and "My Savior" is emotionally gripping, and explicitly based on the Matthew 14 bible story.  So if Sarah's full length album is as good as this 7-song EP, she could soon be eye to eye with other major artists of her genre, and I look forward to more of her music whatever it's future may hold. ~ Christian Lingner
